[EC] Resilience after Climate Shocks: Evidence from SBA Disaster Loans
Principal Investigator

We investigate the role of fiscal stimulus directed to businesses in the aftermath of climate shocks. We focus on the low-interest loans provided by the Small Business Administration to U.S. firms hit by natural disasters. We use a regression discontinuity design to trace down the effects of the loans on firms’ employment, investment, and output, in the short and medium run.
