Abstract

Gender disparities still permeate almost every level of social, institutional and economic interaction. This constitutes not only a formal problem but it is a matter of inefficiency for every European country because of the loss of productivity, the misallocation of talents and the reduced efficacy of implemented policies.

Therefore the group "Gender Issues" aims at tackling this extremely relevant problem with a variety of methodologies and focuses. Regarding the former we will follow theoretical, experimental and empirical approaches.

As for the specific issues of interest, we range from the fundamental analysis of differences in preferences and risk attitudes, to the educational choices and to the understanding of the causes of discrimination and prejudices in politics and in the labour market.
