Principal Investigator
Abstract:
The project examines how perceptions of ancestral origins and collective narratives shape intergroup cooperation, social cohesion, and political behavior. It asks whether individuals underestimate the diversity of their own ancestry and whether correcting these misperceptions can reduce discriminatory attitudes and influence cooperation and social interactions. It also studies how preferences are culturally transmitted through horizontal social transmission.
